Knocturnal Emissions

Beats for freaks!

Splatter Pack Vol. 1

Time to pull out your Gallagher tarps cause here comes Knocturnal Emissions’ Splatter Pack Vol. 1!

Kicking things off, The Sound Diggers slink in the side door with a fantastically understated orchestration of soul. “Sure Enough” is eloquent house music at its finest.

Next, Bernard Jones spins us up a vortex of west coast G-Funk with “Don’t Step Just Move”. Riding a thick glaze of reverbed piano sauce, this jacker plunges deep, then pulls out to the tip and swirls it!

And finally, Jackin Box carves their name out in disco anthem samples with a thumpin’, high energy rendition of the classic, “Hooked!”… BOOM!

Huge thanks to this cast of characters for coming together to bring you the first taste of KnocEm’s Splatter Pack series!

Knocturnal Emissions is back on the scene with a pocket full-a bling. With proofs struck in stunning 44kHz quality, this commemorative installment from the Knocems mint will surely put some tingle in your jingle!

Crux and Matt Sonic team up again, this time with soulful vocalist Stephanie Fields, to craft another next-gen laser cut disco dissection. Centered around a rude bassline, funktastic horns and an all too sassy vocal message this tune is going to make the entire club “Earn It”.

From the newest member of the KnocEms family, Finnish producer Little Bitchard appears to have forgotten to check the exchange rate and delivers two big room dime pieces for twice the value. With driving strings not seen since the days of Studio 54, his euro stylings lay out the disco details in LB’s Exchange Rate Remixes.

Rounding out this collection, Busy goes pump wild with his chunky JackPot redo, promising punishment to even the most capable of sound systems. This diabolical vision of the original is bass heavy in all the right ways and a big win on the dancefloor. You better call the pit boss!

Soon to lose it’s non-circulated value, don’t miss your chance to add this instant classic to your personal collection starting April 5th at iTunes and all other major online retailers.

Knocturnal Emissions’ latest offering brings you brothers and production partners Matt Sonic and Crux. From the humble roots of trackers and monochrome screens, these two have spanned the gamut of music genres since the early nineties creating tracks that have been internationally loved from the radio to the dance floor.

The title track, Freak Inside Me, is a funky tribute to the inner freak. Featuring the cleverly crafted, mechanical vocals of Matt Sonic, the moody Rhodes guides you down the midway and right into the freak show. Unique and unusual doesn’t begin to describe this floor beater.

From the über-talented hands of producer Busy comes a funky sexy iteration that will leave you in traction. Reefing bass lines, filtered disco loops, and of course some sexy porno samples line this remix like the fringe trim on a donked-out eighty five Cutless. Thanks Busy…now to see the chiropractor.

Last but certainly not least, our friend Giano drops in to lend his popular production endowment to explore the freak within. The result is an epic trip through the twisted corridors of a haunted funky space ship. Deep driving beats with reverbed-out robot chatter and a wicked synth lead are your escorts on this journey into the inner freak.

Last Friday, April 2, Open House (a house weekly) celebrated its 6 month anniversary and brought in Chicago’s Frankie J and Nashville’s Wattie Green for a night of great vibes and jackin beats.

We want to thank the Open House crew, Mai Nashville, all the amazing supporting DJs and everyone who came out for turning it into such a special night!

Back for round two, Knocturnal Emissions brings you the soothing sounds of Wattie Green’s Language of Music. We could have a conversation…but you might not hear us tho. Cause it’d be all Webster-ed out like:

Wat-tie Green [hoooWATee-GREEAhn]
1. – preposition:
– “this producer is ON fire.”
Wattie whispers out a filtered-flute-fantasy on the title cut of KE002. This bouncy ride stays teathered to it’s funk roots while whoopin’ up a universal vibe… for easy access, baby. The definition of THUMPIN!

Wil·liam Al·ex·an·der [WIL-yuhm a-lig-ZAN-der]
1. – adjective:
– “of SEXY soothing funkstacy”
Mr. Alexander responds with the rawness, dippin deep (like the finger-dirt wedged in the perimeters of MPC pads) into a collage of hiphop-inspired goodness. So stank…like Bonnaroo pannies.

Bry-an Jones [BRI-uhn JONEZ]
1. – noun:
– “BOMB”
Chitown’s nujack hustler also know as “TRAPSTAR 3000″ ends the discussion with a change of topic…One of high-energy main-room smashery that is! Bangin-ass-dance-floor-pressure at its purest.

OR:

“We can have a conversation…In the Language of Music.”

Knocturnal Emissions wastes no time gettin in the skirts, just like the moonshine of yesteryear strapped to women’s boots and smuggled into the parlor. This first release from the ‘Knoc-Ems’ brand brings a trio of takes on a funkydark sonic palette and totally reeks of booze!

Real Time Hand Motion kicks it off with a left brained sonic sculpture that comes alive with an attitude and decides to punish you with bass, drops your body off at the lounge, then returns for round 2- this time with a mason jar full of white lightnin’!

Frankie J fires back with another expertly crafted wonder of sexy sonic science, fully equipped with panty pealing bass fills, gorgeous pads and a super tight percussive breakdown to properly “give the drummer some”.

Wattie Green cordially seals the deal from the foothills with a stripped down banger that will blow the un-openable doors off any tricked out NASCAR with 15” subs. RealTalk!

Thanks go out to Frankie and Wattie for their invaluable contributions to Knocturnal Emissions, we are beyond hyped to have two of the biggest names in today’s house scene on board for the maiden moonphase.

The Moonshine EP will be available for purchase April 20 on Stompy, Beatport, Traxsource, Primal Records, iTunes and many more of your favorite online retailers!

Knocturnal Emissions is a multidisciplinary creative outlet, discharging sound and light waves that beguile the senses! Headed by producers Busy & Crux of Real Time Hand Motion, the Knoc-Ems brand was launched in 2010 with a battery of releases from some of the biggest names in nu-skool house music.

What’s next? Maintaining the allegiance to hotness, ignoring genre description and focusing on dance floor & drive time sounds that satisfy the left brain while stroking the sexy. As DVDJs and video capable digital vinyl systems become the norm, KnocEms visual artists continue working hard behind the scenes to fill the new demand for full sensory funk from future forward thinking controllers of dark rooms.
